A Message from our director - An invitation to participate
From our Director:
Roane Choral Society is dedicated to encouraging the appreciation, study and performance of carefully prepared
choral literature. My goals are to continue the rich heritage of RCS to enrich our community through
the presentation of great choral literature
presented with exceptional technical and artistic merit,
and to continue the development of the choral arts through musical excellence, diversity and a commitment to education.
Roane Choral Society, numbering approximately 50 men and women, provides an environment where adults
can enjoy the personal growth and satisfaction that comes from active participation in a performing arts organization.
Whatever your walk in life, if you enjoy a variety of choral music and would like an opportunity to sing
with others who also do, Roane Choral Society has a place just for you!
Roane Choral Society has performed classical and popular music in East Tennessee since
1972.
Our Primary objectives include ongoing improvement of the Choral Society's already excellent
artistic product, and the development of greater involvement and interest in choral events within our schools and
the community at large.
Roane Choral Society has performed classical and popular music in East Tennessee since

Now is the
ideal time to join Roane Choral Society. If
you love to sing, Roane choral is the organization
for you. The purpose of RCS is to give
people in Roane and surrounding counties an
opportunity to sing and keep them singing.
We are dedicated to nurturing the musical
skills of our members by emphasizing the
development of proper technique. The ability
to read music or a fantastic voice are not required - what is
required is the love of singing.
The rehearsals for the next concert begin on Monday, September 10th, 7:00 PM, in the Roane State Community College
choral practice room in the O'Brien building. Join us for the fun of singing.
