For the coming season, Roane Choral Society is offering some new opportunities for large contributors to support the society.  Two new possibilities are being initiated:

• The first of these is to be a concert sponsor
• The second of these is to sponsor a chair for some of the vital persons involved

You might ask what is the need on the part of Roane Choral Society for these new options.  In short the society is having some financial problems.  The society has relied mostly on individual and corporate sponsors and on donations received during the concerts.  These have dropped of in recent years even though the attendance at the concerts supported by donations has increased.  Although the society is not in danger of disappearing, it is having problems fulfilling one of its stated purposes.  This purpose is the support of elementary school programs in the Roane County and surrounding area.  Two seasons ago the society had to cut back on its support and last season there were no funds at all to support these music programs.  The Roane Choral Society board and members wish to rectify this situation.

You may be asking what benefits would you receive other than the normal charitable position that your company would be assuming.  The additional benefit for each is:

For the concert sponsor:

The name of your organization would be associated with the concert and published as such.  We would, of course, come to some agreement as to how to title the concert.  For example:

    The Ajax Benefit Concert present by the Roane Choral Society - "Gloria"

The concert that you sponsored would be a benefit concert, that is, all donations at the concert would be for the support of the school program.  Your obligation would be to pay for the cost of presenting the concert.

For the chair sponsor:

The name of your organization would be associated with a chair.

    This would be listed with the persons title, for example: "The Ajax chair for conductor NAME".
    Thus, in programs and in advertisements the conductor would be associated with your organization.
